Asset owners often have limited awareness of new and emerging threats to industrial control systems (ICS) until it’s too late, and defenders face difficulties knowing how to respond to breaking cybersecurity news.  

The Dragos threat intelligence team recently reviewed a series of alleged contracts between the Russian company NTC Vulkan and the Russian Ministry of Defense. These same documents were highlighted in a recent news article by the Washington Post, Secret trove offers rare look into Russian cyberwar ambitions. The projects described reveal the development of more efficient cyber operations to aid in the targeting of critical infrastructure, including energy utilities, oil and gas, water utilities, and transportation systems.
