Industrial cyber security incidents are on the rise. Last year the number of vulnerabilities more than doubled. To rapidly respond to a cyber security incident, preparation is necessary. This planning helps incident responders get to root problems, reducing mean time to recovery. One proactive step is consequence-driven threat hunting. Using this methodology, teams first identify critical systems and then work backward to develop and test hypotheses about how adversaries may target systems. These hypotheses turn into recommended actions and help set priorities for security teams. In this presentation, industrial cyber security teams will learn how to prepare for an incident and how to deny and disrupt adversary capabilities proactively.
